“Mind, body and spirit. I love that about my sons.”

Aaron Palmer’s sons inherited the athletic gene. He describes his pride in his son Aaron, who just graduated with honors from high school and was awarded Athlete of the Year at a school with 3000 students. His youngest son, Andreas, has a 4.5 GPA and scored in the top 10% on the ACT test as a sophomore. Aaron, a Duke scholar, is also an all-district baseball player. He still loves throwing balls for them, but notes as they get older, “you get hit with a 100 mph hard ball, you’re going to have a bad day.”

When his older son Aaron had the chance to compete in a baseball tournament which would expose him to high-level recruiters, UpTogether funds were there to support their family in making the trip from New Orleans to Atlanta. While the athletic capabilities of the Palmer boys are exceptional, this kind of investment in the next generation is typical of FII families.
